Every half term the governors get together for a meeting. Among the governing body are numerous working committees. The committees consist of Learning & Teaching, Standards, Resources and Leadership. These are the committees who cover detailed parts like admissions, quality of teaching discipline and complaint and many others. Every governor has one or more individual field of interest take community matters, school standards and expectations for example.

 

Keeping in Touch

Our website gives you a great opportunity to keep up to date with what is happening within school. Any issues or concerns we are contactable through school and are more than happy to hear from you. Parents of school children are among the governors, so we can be found at the beginning as well as the end of the day. We also arrange given times through the academic year to keep in touch and hear from you.

 

Becoming a Governor

School governor is a significant role however no specific skill set is needed. What you do need is school life commitment, to be enthusiastic and patent, able to work with other people, willing to learn and especially dedicating your time that you can to be involved with school life.
